I Built What I Couldn’t Find
TriAxis did not begin as a business idea. It began as a problem in my own life.
I became a litigation attorney in 2013. For years I believed that if I worked hard enough, freedom would follow. My income kept rising. My time never came back. I took my laptop on family vacations and worked by the pool while my kids played.
Around 2019, I spent months asking myself one question: could I do this for the rest of my life? I loved the work. The answer was still no.
When I returned to Rich Dad Poor Dad, a book I had set aside years earlier, it read differently. I was finally facing the questions that made its ideas relevant to my own life.
I started investing in multifamily real estate and small businesses. As my real estate and business holdings grew, ownership brought new responsibilities, partnerships, and difficult decisions. Not everything went according to plan. Some partnerships ended, and some decisions carried a cost whichever path I chose. As a litigator, I began asking how the risks I carried as an owner and operator could affect my family.
I had capable professionals around me. Each understood a different part of the picture. Connecting their advice across business, ownership, investments, and family remained my responsibility.
Then another question became unavoidable: what would happen if I were suddenly unavailable? My family might know what we owned without knowing why it was structured that way, whom to call, or what needed to happen next. Too much of the context lived in my head.
So I began organizing ownership, operating responsibilities, professional roles, and the decisions connecting them. Financial planning, retirement, legal structure, investment strategy, and legacy became parts of the same conversation about our family. I wanted a structure my family and our professionals could understand and use.
My family became the first test case. I built it one step at a time, out of necessity. That work became the foundation of what I now describe as Private Family Office Architecture.
As I spoke with other business owners, professionals, and families building wealth for the first time, I recognized the same burden. TriAxis exists to help them clarify the decision in front of them, coordinate the right professionals, and build a structure they do not have to carry alone.
The goal was never more income. It was more time with my kids while they still want to spend it with me.

Founder & Principal
Yosef Lee, Esq.
Yosef Lee is an attorney, real estate investor, business owner, and the founder and principal of TriAxis Private Advisory, where he helps business owners, professionals, and families organize complex decisions across career, business, ownership, family, entities, and professional advisers.
His experience spans litigation, multifamily real estate investing, private business ownership, partnerships, and the development of his own family-office infrastructure. Rather than approaching Private Family Office Architecture solely through traditional wealth management, he built the model first around the real coordination problems created by his own family, businesses, investments, and professional relationships.
His litigation background shapes his approach: analyze the facts, identify competing interests, distinguish legal questions from business judgment, assess risk, and determine what must happen first. At TriAxis, that discipline is applied to the layer between professional specialties: defining the decision, organizing ownership and responsibilities, coordinating advisers, identifying dependencies, and creating structures that do not rely entirely on one person’s memory.
Yosef is bilingual in English and Korean and works particularly well with entrepreneurs, professionals, and business-owning families building wealth for the first time, whose financial lives have become more complex than the systems originally built to manage them.
Through TriAxis, he is developing a practical framework for Private Family Office Architecture: the structure through which a family coordinates ownership, advisers, information, responsibilities, succession, and consequential decisions.
Professional Advisory Network
The expertise each decision calls for.
Consequential decisions require more than one discipline. TriAxis works with an independent network of professionals and experienced operators who may contribute specialized perspective when appropriate. Each professional remains responsible for advice and services within his or her own engagement, credentials, and discipline.
The network is not a menu of bundled services. TriAxis’s role is to help determine which questions require specialized advice, when that advice is needed, and how it fits into the larger decision.
